I have a major announcement. Seriously, it’s HUGE!
There was a 1 in front this morning. A 1!!!!
There has been a 2 in front for at least eight years. Today, there was a 1.
This is a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR milestone in my Losing It! journey. So major it almost brings tears to my eyes. I couldn’t believe it! There was a 1 in front!
What’s interesting is that people who know me personally will probably be shocked to know I weighed over 200 pounds for the last eight years. They would say, “You’re kidding right!? No way you weighed 200 pounds.” But friends, I did. I weighed over 200 pounds for a VERY LONG TIME.
Don’t feel bad if you’re flabbergasted. I even fooled most nurses. I always had to shake my head and tell them to shift it that one more 50 lb weight on the scale. Even when they were looking at my chart of my previous weight, they were surprised. Apparently, I hid it well. I have a doctor’s appointment next week. I’m almost giddy with excitement that we won’t have to shift it that extra 50 lb weight (granted of course that their scale is anywhere close to mine).
This major milestone has given me even more resolve to “just keep swimming” as Dory would say. I AM NOT DONE YET! In fact, I’ve got a long way to go. However, seeing that 1 in front this morning made it worth it. Seriously worth it. Next goal – seeing a 18 in front. That will be an amazing feeling.

Thanks Julie! If I can do it, anyone can. Seriously!!!
That’s awesome Kathy!! You are such an encouragement to the rest of us … I think you should definitely reward yourself with a little trip to Charming Charlie:)
I believe I am rewarding myself with some new bags from the party Wed night!!!
I am so proud of you!!!!!!! Seriously, you are motivating me to stop sitting on the couch (or the chair in my office…!)
Thanks girl! I feel so much better when I exercise. I’ve been told it forever, but have never experienced it until now.
That is so fantastic! I am so proud of you. Keep going! I can’t wait to see you. You must be feeling great too. Let’s get together in July.
Absolutely – we need to get together when you’re in town!!
AMAZING change in lifestyle!
I know! Crazy huh!
you are number 1 !!!! thank you SO much for letting the world into your journey! it is making a big impact!
Thanks Laurie – that’s so encouraging. Jump in with us girl. You can do it!
and i love that your “grandma” follows your blog! go grandma!!!
It’s actually my mom – who has officially changed her name to Grandma! Seriously, I think it’s on documents. LOL!
How great! I can’t wait to see that 1 also. 🙂 (My weight is like yours was- very surprising for people). You are definitely an inspiration, and are helping me stay motivated. Keep up the great work.
Keep working girl. It’s a beautiful thing to see and worth all the sweat!
Congratulations on hitting a major milestone! I’m very happy and excited for you. Keep up the good work!
I’ve linked up so you’ll see my week wasn’t as good, yet you’ve inspired me to do better this week. Thank you.
Thanks Cindy! And seriously, if I can do this, ANYONE can. Heading over to read your post now.
I so freakin’ proud of you! How awesome! And yes, you hid the “2” very well. I’m super embarrassed to write how much I weigh. I’m hoping to get to the next lower group of ten pounds, if that made sense. I’m not so much embarrassed for you guys to read it as I am for my family to read how much I weigh! So, here’s to making it down another ten for all of us!
It was VERY liberating to write the number. VERY liberating!
You can do it girl. Just keep swimming!!!!
Oh, Kathy, that is just WONDERFUL!!! (Or, should I say – as they do on the WW message boards – ONEderful?!) 🙂
OH! I meant to tell you that I tried to copy and save your “losing it” badge to put into my post and it’s not working for me. Is there a code I can grab? It’s saving the picture but there’s no picture. Just a white box. Seems like no one else had an issue with it.
Not sure what’s up with that. I put it in as a picture. I don’t have any code. Or maybe I do and don’t know it. Hmmmm…
maybe it’s just me. I’ll keep working on it. I do want to use your lovely badge!
I’ve always been the same way–I can fool a nurse to the dickens. They usually guess 30 lbs less than what I weigh. I guess that’s a good thing!!
I miss seeing that 1. And since I’m preggo, it’s not the time…but I am going to try to keep my weight gain low with this one.
Mostly, CONGRATULATIONS! You’re doing awesome!
Thanks! When I was pregnant and already in the 2s, I didn’t gain much. Just enough for her. It all seemed to just shift.
You are awesome, girlfriend! I meant to tell you (honestly, I’m not just saying that) how great you looked when I saw you the other day!
a
Thanks girl!
Kathy!
This is such great news. Very inspiring to me to get my self in gear and lose some pounds tat I’ve been wanting to rid myself of for a while. So very proud of you. Keep it going!
You can do it girl!!! Thanks for the encouragement.

Just had to share with you MY major announcement. Fridays are my weigh-in day and today, for the first time in over 2 years, there was a 2 in front of it. Yes, I have been over the 300 mark for some time, but today there was a 2. Bringing my loss to 17lbs since May 2010.
Knew you would appreciate / could relate.
Keep going!
You are doing AMAZING! So proud of you! LOVE the 2 in the front. I SO know how that feels. Yay! Ron!
